In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival—one of China's most important traditional holidays symbolizing family reunion and harvest under the fullest moon—SOE recently organized a special cultural immersion event for its international community. Rooted in millennia-old legends like Chang'e flying to the moon, this festival is traditionally marked by sharing mooncakes, a delicacy representing completeness and togetherness.
Embracing this spirit, a hands-on mooncake-making workshop was held. Participants kneaded sweet dough, carefully weighed out fillings such as red bean paste and salted egg yolk, and pressed the mixtures into ornate wooden molds to create their own beautifully patterned mooncakes. As the pastries baked, filling the air with a warm, sweet aroma, attendees shared stories of autumn traditions from their home countries, fostering a genuine sense of global connection.
